In my first trip out of the country in over a decade, I was able to spend 3 weeks in a bitterly cold United Kingdom, just a couple weeks after snow shut down Heathrow Airport. Photographing in near-freezing temperatures was more difficult than learning UK-specific words and phrases. I bought a "skint" button to remember my time there.
Just as I do in every city, I wandered about on foot peeking at Central London's nooks and crannies. From the transgender call girl services plastered inside the iconic red telephone booths to some pretty bad-ass graffiti, she didn't disappoint.
It's always tough for me to photograph a city in such a short time frame. While some of the prints in this series I truly like, the detail I would have liked to have from this would require many more visits. The stroke on this series is far too broad.
